Joshua D. Cahn

Joshua Cahn has been a member of Nemecek & Cole since September 2024.

Joshua graduated from Southwestern Law School’s SCALE two-year accelerated program with a concentration in Civil Litigation & Advocacy and a focus on Appeals and Entertainment & Media Law. While a student, Joshua worked as a law clerk for the Clarkson Law Firm focused on consumer class actions. 

At Southwestern, Joshua was a member of the Moot Court Honors Program. He competed in the 48th Annual Robert F. Wagner National Labor and Employment Moot Court Competition where he authored the 3rd Best Brief out of 40 competitors. Additionally, Joshua worked as a Dean’s Fellow, a Civil Litigation teaching assistant, a student editor for the Journal of International Media & Entertainment Law and participated in the Amicus Project at Southwestern. As a student, Joshua filed an amicus brief before the California Supreme Court, earning co-signatory support from Professor Warren S. Grimes, Professor Michael M. Epstein, Retired Justice Martin J. Tangeman, and Dean Erwin Chemerinsky of University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.

Joshua completed his Bachelor’s degree in History at the University of California, Berkeley with a concentration on early United States history, and a minor in Jewish Studies. Joshua wrote his thesis titled Crafting Conscience: James Madison’s Role in Establishing American Religious Liberty.

Joshua is a Los Angeles native, raised in Culver City. In his free time, Joshua enjoys traveling, photography, hiking, swimming, beach volleyball, cooking, and learning.
