Joseph Scott has been a member of Nemecek & Cole since January 2022.
Prior to joining Nemecek & Cole, Joseph served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Stuart M. Rice of the Los Angeles Superior Court at Stanley Mosk, where he handled all law and motion matters for the unlimited civil department. Joseph also served in the court’s Coverage Department, where he drafted orders for over thirty independent calendar, complex, family, probate, personal injury, and writs and receivers courts.
As a law student, Joseph was a recipient of the Janet D. Steiger Fellowship, and joined the Antitrust, Securities, and Consumer Protection divisions of the Utah Attorney General’s Office for a summer, where he researched issues of jurisdiction over financial instruments, designed a rubric to guide the imposition of enforcement fines, and hiked Mount Timpanogos.
